Dear Phil;

I had to write and thank you for the outstanding tile work you
installed in my master bathroom. This entire process of remodeling
my master bedroom has been a huge headache, except for you and
your workers. If I could, I wish I could send other contractors to
your school of professionalism. It is also very evident that your
employees follow by example, and were clean, courteous and
wonderful to work with.

I wish I was brave enough to continue tearing my home apart and
have you retile my entire house! Please feel free to use me as
reference anytime.

Sincerely yours,

Heidi Jacobsen

I really appreciate the great job you guys did on all my stonework.
I especially appreciate the artistic eye that you have in placing
boulders so they look aesthetically correct, your helpful,
conscientious attitude, etc!

Take care,

We just wanted to thank you for the marvelous job you did on our
bathrooms. Your professionalism and considerateness speaks
volumes about the kind of person you are and we don't take that
lightly. We love our bathrooms and feel very fortunate to have had
you create them. If we need any work done in the future you are
the first one we will call.

In addition, we will happily refer others to you.

Thanks a bunch!

Thanks again to you and your crew for the good job you did and
particularly how careful & clean you were as you worked. Stay well.

WPhil has worked on projects in my home for about the last 20
years. His work is perfect. He is a stickler for detail, and his
craftsmanship is second to none. He has done my entire back
yard deck in brick, my bathrooms in tile and stone, and most
recently he completed brick floors in my house. He has just
completed a very complicated backsplash in my kitchen. It
looks beautiful. There is no one better.

You can trust your home to Phil.

In addition, we will happily refer others to you.

Thanks a bunch!

Now that our year-long project is finished, we finally have the time

to reflect on what was actually done. The tile done by you
encompassed the largest percentage of what was done here. To say
you did a professional job would not be good enough for the
caliber of work done by you. To say your work was flawless
would be more accurate. Of all the people who were in and out
of this house last year, none worked harder than you and your crew.
At the end of a long day you always took the time to clean up
before leaving. Thank you for your stunning work, and thank you
for being such a delightful person to work with.

Thank you very much for the outstanding tile work you just

completed in my kitchen. You met the challenge of working the
new tile into the space left over from the removal of the old tile.
This is our second project with you and I would not have anyone
else do my tile work.

My husband and I hired Phil Hanaman to complete a master

bathroom stone retiling and repair for a shower that originally
had not been built properly and had developed significant
deterioration. Phil was very responsive, reliable and dependable.
His work was impeccable; his crews always showed up when
scheduled and were incredibly tidy in cleaning up at the end of
each day. Phil constantly went the extra mile to ensure we were
happy with the work. We are delighted with the final results and
would definitely recommend Phil as a contractor.

Phil, we want to thank you for the great job you did on our master

bathroom. Not only is the tile work beautiful but that you
coordinated the entire job was fantastic. Everyone showed up
on time and were very professional. It is very obvious that you
take pride in your work. We love the end result and when we
need tile or stone work done we will definitely give you a call.

Now the next step in learning how to lay out tile properly. I want you to lay out the tile. This is an easy step but again you need to do this by taking your time and watching detail you want to try and use as many full sheets as possible. Remember before we had marked the cement board. Well know this where these marks really help out. When using a tile contractor or mason for your tile or floor needs he will make sure that this is done properly to ensure a beautiful floor or shower and bathroom room tile. I prefer the mosaic tiles and would pick out the perfect color and design for your bathroom, shower or kitchen. So lay the center section first. Let me stop you there. When you lay tile you want to make sure that the tile is square to the room or area. This is really important when laying travertine tile in North Ranch I saw tile that the contractor or homeowner missed this step and the tiles were crooked. Not a good look for such an exquisite home whether It is in thousand oaks or Agoura hills or Calabasas. .I always suggest that you work in small sections. That way you can take your time fitting out the tiles and spreading the adhesive. There it is the next key adhesive. You always want to spread the adhesive smoothly and evenly with a square-notched trowel. You want the adhesive to be about as thick as the tiles you’re working with. Remember I said small sections, that is why the next step makes sense. Spread as much adhesive as you can work with before it dries. Oh small sections I get it. Yes that is why. Everyone tries to do to much and well the adhesive starts setting up and you have a problem don’t you. So small is good and small is better when laying tile. Next you want to set the first sheet of tiles into place and press it firmly into the adhesive. You want to make sure that the sheet is square when laying the tile. For the second sheet, remember to line up the pattern and check the spacing and then set it into place. Work around the room until the entire center of the floor is covered. This pretty easy for someone that is doing this all of the time but when you need a professional make sure you get a tile contractor with experience and some one that has referrals that you can call to make sure.
